In vitro hybridoma production

Upon receipt of your hybridoma and its technical data sheet, we assess its specific requirements.

  • Flexible culture media: adaptation to your preferred medium, including serum-free media or serum depleted of bovine IgG
  • Biological safety: endotoxin-free production conditions are available for your most sensitive applications
  • Quality controls and required specifications: several customizable quality levels are available, including Research and Development and QualityPLUS*

For quantities exceeding 100 mg, we secure your project through a step-by-step approach:

  • Pilot stage—feasibility assessment: we evaluate productivity using small culture volumes. You receive a detailed report, a sample for evaluation and a firm quotation for the next stage.
  • Industrial scale-up: production using between 1 and 250 litres of culture supernatant, yielding quantities ranging from a few milligrams to several grams of antibody.
  • Customized technologies: depending on the characteristics of your clone, we select the most suitable method from roller bottles, T-flasks, FiberCell systems, spinner flasks or CELLine™ systems.

Using our range of FastELISA quantification kits for mouse, rat and human IgG, our engineers monitor production in real time.

This responsiveness enables us to precisely adjust culture volumes so that your quantity targets can be reached as quickly as possible.

The harvested culture supernatant can be processed by tangential flow filtration and concentrated up to 20-fold. This step optimizes purification for large production volumes.

The concentrated culture supernatant can also be supplied as the finished product, with optional diafiltration into PBS buffer.

Monoclonal antibody sequencing

Variable-region sequencing—VH and VL—can be offered from the earliest stages of the development or production process.

Transition to Recombinant Development

Cell bank storage

To safeguard your clones of interest, we offer cell bank production and vial storage services in liquid nitrogen tanks.

Cell banks produced at RD-Biotech undergo comprehensive quality-control testing:

  • Confirmation of the absence of mycoplasma contamination
