In silico feasibility assessment and system selection

Before beginning recombinant protein production, we perform an in-depth in silico feasibility study covering:

  • Sequence analysis
  • Structure prediction
  • Assessment of expression and stability risks

This scientific assessment enables us to select the optimal recombinant protein expression system (CHO, HEK, E. coli, yeast or cell-free) according to your target protein and its intended application, whether for research, diagnostics or therapeutic use.

Expression plasmid construction and optimization

We provide optimized gene synthesis and design and construct your expression plasmid, incorporating codon optimization and regulatory elements suited to the selected system. The resulting plasmid is validated through quality-control testing.

We manage the entire cloning and protein-expression process, from optimized gene synthesis through to final vector validation.

Our services include custom vector design, subcloning, screening and full sequencing to ensure the quality and conformity of each construct.

Every vector is specifically designed for the selected expression system to optimize protein expression yield, stability and quality.

At this stage, we can incorporate a tag of your choice (or work without a tag) as well as an optional cleavage site to obtain a native recombinant protein following purification.

Pilot study and small-scale production

Small-scale production enables us to validate expression, optimize conditions and characterize your protein in terms of purity, identity and biological activity. You receive a detailed report containing clear recommendations.

The pilot study is a decisive stage. It includes:

  • Small-volume expression, from tens of millilitres in culture flasks
  • Recombinant protein purification
  • Comprehensive characterization using SDS-PAGE, Western blotting, protein quantification and activity testing
  • Parallel assessment of multiple conditions to identify the optimal parameters

At the end of the proof-of-concept study, you receive a detailed report and a clear go/no-go recommendation before investing in larger-scale production.

Large scale up production & scaling-up

We provide controlled scale-up and large-scale batch production (up to several grams) using optimized processes, high-purity purification and comprehensive characterization. The resulting proteins are ready for preclinical or clinical applications.

From pilot production to research-scale batches (up to several hundred milligrams or litres of culture supernatant) we ensure controlled and reproducible scale-up.
